Klamath Falls (OREGON) Herald and News Reporter Holly Dillemuth attended the 2018 Family Farm Alliance conference on water in the West in Reno (NEVADA), February 22-23. The Herald and News published a three-part series on the Alliance annual conference, built upon reports Holly filed from Reno:
“Water in the West: Irrigators gather in Reno to address the drought” (February 23) describes challenges faced by Klamath Project irrigators and how they sought to address them with senior policy officials participating in the Alliance annual conference.
“Glimmer of hope at Reno water conference” (February 25) explains the history of the Alliance and the annual conference, focusing on this year’s diverse general session agenda.
“Connecting ag producers, community” (February 27) details the presentation made by Klamath Falls resident Jessica DuBose, community program manager for the Blue Zones Project, on how that project seeks to connect the community with local ag producers through a variety of ways, including food policy, outreach events and an on-line farmers market.
Many thanks to the Herald and News for sending Holly to cover our event!
