Derby Dam Fish Screen: The Water Returns

Farmers Conservation Alliance (FCA) in partnership with the Bureau of Reclamation recently rolled out this video of the day water was turned on at the Derby Dam Fish Screen project. Construction of the new fish screen will restore watershed connectivity and support fish movement along the Truckee River, promoting both the recovery of the federally threatened Lahontan Cutthroat Trout as well as fishing and recreation opportunities in Nevada. The completion of the Derby Dam Fish Screen will result in noticeable benefits not only for the trout, but also for the Bureau of Reclamation and its water customers.
