FORTIFYING WESTERN AGRICULTURE FOR THE COMING YEAR

Congress and the Agencies seem to be in some sort of race to finish overhauling some of the Country’s biggest environmental laws and regulations. Meanwhile, January 30 and another impending shutdown are quickly approaching. Everything seems to be moving in fast-motion with a flurry of ongoing activity – including for the Alliance, though we wish the flurries were more in the form of frozen water than some of what we’re seeing! Check out January’s Monthly Report, get the inside scoop on Western Agriculture’s main focus this last month, and where we are headed in the new year. As always, the Alliance remains engaged at every turn, and looks forward to working with our members, partners, and Agency/Hill staff toward productive water and agriculture policy in the coming year.
