WACC DOI Letter & Job Board Update

Ag and Conservation Groups Outline Western Priorities to Biden DOI

In this letter to incoming Department of Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, the Western Agriculture and Conservation Coalition (WACC) advances four recommendations:

  • There is value in preserving and retaining the Water Subcabinet created by former President Trump
  • The Bureau of Reclamation should increase investments in multi-benefit irrigation infrastructure
  • Continue to allow grazing on public lands
  • Implement the Endangered Species Act in a manner that promotes and recognizes the value of voluntary conservation and supports a cooperative approach to native species management

The Alliance helped create the WACC – a collaborative coalition of constructive agricultural and conservation organizations. This letter continues to show the strong value of our coalition.
